Music is our greatest connector and over the past 100 years the world has experienced many incredible singers who’ve touched the lives of those who’ve listened.

Throughout the years music will often birth or influence another style, some times there’s a hyrbrid of the two genres. For example, Blues became Rhythm and Blues, R&B became Soul, Soul became Funk, Funk became Disco, followed by Hip-Hop. After a few years Hip-Hop was mixed with Rock, showing the connectedness of music as Rock n’ Roll began way back in 1955 with Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Bo Diddley, Fats Domino, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis and Buddy Holly.

Music is an expression of unrequited love, political protest, celebration, hard times, youthful rebellion and spiritual beliefs. Some times it’s a mixture of a number of those subjects in the same song or album. But because these subjects are experienced by humans, music ultimately unites, connects and heals the soul of ALL people.

How It Works

Singer Eye Exams (S.E.E.) posts are made on our Instagram throughout the week, typically Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Answers will appear at the bottom of the following exam’s post. Posts include 3x sets of featured singers eyes (from any point during their lifetime) along with career notes and highlights as clues.

Keep in mind, there’s gonna be some singers you may be unfamiliar with but that’s also what this site is for too. A place which provides an opportunity to learn and grow your music catalogue you’ll also notice a thread connecting one sound to another, one artist to another, etc.

It’s a straight forward game, with basic rules listed below.

Game Rules:

  • 1st person to answer correctly wins challenge of the day.

  • That’s it!

  • Share the test with anybody you know who likes great music.

Lastly, please feel free to recommend any singers that haven’t been covered and I’ll add them to the always-expanding database of singers.
