Black History Month begins with this feature challenge… This singer played a crucial roll in the transition from Rhythm and Blues to Soul. He’s the man who inspired Elvis Presley, James Brown and Michael Jackson to instill great dance moves as part of their stage act. During the 50s, 60s and 70s he had charting hits but also saw his career come to an unexpected close one evening during a live performance in a New Jersey venue.
