Born and raised in Houston, Tx., Nash found success as a singer and actor in the mid-’50’s and decided to move to Jamaica in the mid-’60’s. Upon his arrival he quickly befriended Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer and signed all three to JAD Records, a label he co-owned. Nash wanted to help bring the ska/rocksteady sounds of Jamaica to the US in he did just with a top-5 US and UK hit, “Hold Me Tight”. In 1972 he wrote and recorded “I Can See Clearly Now” which went on to even greater success and can still be heard today.

His beautiful songs can easily be found on multiple platforms such as: Spotify, Youtube, Amazon, etc.

Nash died of natural causes alongside family in Houston, TX.
