Knock On Wood’, written by Steve Cropper and Eddie Floyd, spent 21x weeks on the Billboard chart and peaked at #1 on NOVEMBER 19, 1966.

Stax Records released Eddie Floyd’s original version of this song in August 1966. Four months later Wilson Pickett covered and released the song to end out the year. By the end of 1967 23x other artists would cover/release the song for other record labels. Since then, 146x artists have recorded and release this timeless classic.
