Released during the summer of 1966 on Revilot Record (Detroit, MI) and Stateside Records (UK), this single is considered to be the first non-Motown crossover hit. Sadly, it would end up being the biggest song of Banks short career. In early 1970 Darrell was shot and killed by an off-duty police officer who had been having an affair with Bank’s girlfriend.
