Today I wanted to try something different… Today’s Challenge features a bandleader. Band leaders typically tend to be performers within their own band by singing or playing multiple instruments, or both, throughout the course of their show.
Today’s bandleader was both a commercial and critical success. He is considered one of the most important musicians of all-time and highly respected for being innovative and influential to others, both future and contemporaries of his day, in multiple music genres.
Throughout a 5x decade span this artist/leader had many prominent musicians as permanent band members before achieving their future fame.
Got it? Yes? No? Well, here’s more info to help figure it out….
