Today would have been Prince Markie Dee’s 53rd birthday. Yesterday he passed on to another dimension due to heart failure. He left quite a Mark (pun intended) during his time alive. Whether it be a ground breaking performer as 1/3 of The Fat Boys, a producer (Mary J. Blige) or radio show host. He could really do it all.

During the 1980s The Fat Boys were a fun and highly creative trio. Nobody was like them and nobody can EVER be like them. I can’t say how many times I watched the movie they star in, Disorderlies, back in the late 1980s. How’d they ever end up recording with The Beach Boys AND have a smash hit with them too.
