Today we’re back featuring a bright shining singer who’s stardust faded much too soon. During her career she appeared on Checker Records, Motown Records, Scepter Records and Try Me Records.

Her very first single was released at the young age of 16 years old. Not long after, her very first charting single reached #99 on the Billboard Hot 100. By 1965 she had her first R&B Top 40 hit and by 1967 she became one half of the best vocal duos of all time. Together their songs would consistently appear inside the top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100, R&B, Pop charts respectively.
