Hopeton Lewis is one of the most important music singers in Jamaica’s history!

‘Take It Easy’, released in 1966 on Merritone Records, helped usher in a slowed down tempo from it’s predecessor, ska. The album represents a moment in time when the only way to go was forward. In a short matter of time Rocksteady would ultimately fall to the wayside as Reggae began to rise inside the clubs and hearts of Jamaica’s music lovers.
