I was able to find three separate life phases for today’s feature challenge singer. The first photo is as a young child, the second during the middle of his career and the third photo is somewhat recent. To this very day this singer is the biggest black recording recording star Britain has EVER produced. He’s sold over 30x million (and counting) records during his career as a singer. His second single released reached No. 2 in the UK charts and No. 12 inn the US. He continued his success in England during the late 1970s but failed to chart in US for the remainder of the decade. By the early 1980s that changed inside the US as his songs were constantly played across the airwaves in every state.
Throughout the years his music has has included funk, disco, rhythm and blues, pop, reggae and soul. He’s been awarded Britain’s Ivor Novello Award for songwriting/composing.
He’s recorded for GTO Records, Jive Records, Epic Records and Aqua Music, Spark Records
